FLIGHTLAB - FlightLine
Overview
FLIGHTLAB - FlightLine is a high fidelity, low cost aircraft simulator. It is designed to support engineering research and development and to meet Military and commercial helicopter training requirements.
FlightLine is designed to be reconfigurable, with interchangeable aircraft-specific controls, instrument displays and flight dynamics models. It is also expandable, utilizing PCs in a network to support as many visual displays and instrument displays as are required. FlightLine provides hardware commonality between Deployable and Motion Base configurations.
Choose FlightLine HeliFlight for Rotorcraft, or FlightLine JetFlight for fixed wing.
FlightLine Key Features
- Dual seat high-fidelity aircraft specific cockpit with operational switches and displays. Digital sound system for rotor/engine noise, intercom, and radio simulation.
- Five-channel projected outside world visual system utilizing state of the art D-ILA projectors and providing a 225o horizontal by 90o vertical field of view on a 7.5 ft radius spherical screen. Detailed, highly textured visual databases are fully anti-aliased and updated at 60 Hz.
- Four-axis digital control loading system employing a precision torque motor with linkages to both pilot and copilot controls to directly drive each axis of the flight controls.
- FlightLab blade element helicopter flight and systems models.
- Operator/Instructor Console providing full simulator control, monitoring of visual system and instrumentation displays, fault injection, initialization to saved reset points and arbitrary test conditions, and replay capability to support pilot debriefing.
- Optional six degree of freedom servo-electric motion system capable of reproducing moderate amplitude and rate body motions.
