PILOTSTATION
Overview
ART has been developing rotorcraft models in FlightLab for over 15 years and we now have an extensive library of rotorcraft models. These models may be run in the FlightLab environment for enhanced interactivity or they may be code generated with a custom interface and distributed as object libraries that can be linked to user applications. The U.S. Army has selected ART to provide FlightLab models of six Army helicopters for use with their reconfigurable Aviation Combined Arms Tactical Training (AVCATT) simulators. FlightLab can produce models of varying sophistication to satisfy application requirements while minimizing computational intensity. Models with blade element rotors, nonlinear engines, nonlinear control systems, three state dynamic inflow models, and aerodynamic interference models based on potential flow theory can operate in real time at 120 Hz. on 700 MHz. Pentium 3 processors.
