DI-GUY SCENARIO
A Tool for Human Simulation and Rapid Scenario Generation
DI-Guy Scenario is a tool for creating interactive 3D training scenarios with lifelike human characters. Its graphical user interface lets you work directly in the 3D scenario to create, place, and control realistic people and vehicles. Once you have created scenarios, you can run them immediately in DI-Guy Scenario, or export them to run on desktop, laptop, or high-end computers. HOW DI-GUY SCENARIO WORKS
Everything you need to create complete 3D scenarios:
- Wide selection of approximately 100 human models
- Vehicles and props
- More than 2,000 motions
- Advanced real-time motion engine
- Decision logic to control entity behavior
- Real-time viewer
Compatible with the DI-Guy API
DI-Guy Scenario shares a common technology base with DI-Guy, the industry-leading product for adding realistic human characters to real-time simulations. The two programs are fully compatible: Scenarios created with DI-Guy Scenario can be exported for use in DI-Guy-enabled simulations. This compatibility allows you to take advantage of DI-Guy Scenario’s strengths as a graphical tool for rapid scenario creation, then use the DI-Guy API to plug the results into your application for real-time control.
Advanced capabilities
DI-Guy Scenario’s advanced capabilities allow you to develop scenarios with the most sophisticated human simulation commercially available. These capabilities include:
Decision logic
A graphical wizard lets you quickly program characters to respond to events and other entities in the environment. In addition to the graphical interface, the Perl script interface allows even greater decision versatility
Multiple 3D Windows
Open up to nine 3D windows at a time to view the scenarios from several points of view or keep an eye on more than one region of activity at a time.
Formations
Define the behavior of a group of characters by designating a “leader” for them to follow. A big timesaver when creating scenarios with groups of people working or traveling together in the the simulation.
DIS/HLA networking (option)
Once you have created scenarios in DI-Guy Scenario, you can interoperate with an ongoing exercise through the DIS/HLA option. The DIS/HLA networking module allows you to connect your DI-Guy Scenario station up to the network to insert human and vehicle activity and populate urban and rural areas. Especially valuable is the ability to rapidly populate multi-elevation structures using this tool.
Joystick control
Use a joystick to “drive” individual characters about a scenario and view the scene from their perspective. The behavior of the joysticked entity can be published via DIS/HLA.
Advanced gaze control
Character gaze can track other characters or vehicles. The software automatically coordinates the character’s stepping and the motions of its eyes, head, and torso.
Expressive faces (option)
Advanced morphing shows a range of emotional expressions and moves the mouth to synchronize with speech.
Precise character control in complex environments
DI-Guy Scenario’s graphical user interface is ideally suited to creating scenarios and controlling the placement and behavior of characters in detailed urban environments, including in and around MOUT sites, on the floors of multiple-elevation structures, and in tunnels.
